Cap for lens with leash. Its main function is to assist in properly setting the white balance in the picture.

Often automatic settings give results far from expected, presets also leave much to be desired. There are also difficult situations, especially in light of the mixed (with different color temperatures).

Only the white balance setting according to the pattern, that is White Balance Cap gives satisfactory results.

Ways of getting white balance:

• Set the manual mode for white balance
• Attach the lens cap on the top of the lens
• Set the focus length to telephoto mode
• Aim at the scene of photo source
• Keep the white balanced value
• After modulating the white balance, remove the cap and you can take better pictures.

Cap gives very similar results to the gray card, however, is much more mobile and harder to damage.

This is in addition to protection against pollution of the lens - can be used as a replacement for the standard lens cap.
