The adapter should be put on the standard hot shoe. Sony/Minolta flashgun should be attached to its top.

The impulse from the PC socket releases a flashgun attached to the adapter. The adapter with flashgun can be put on a base and triggered remotely. Of course, automatic functions are not supported then.

The adapter with a flashgun can be also put on any camera's hot shoe and triggered in manual mode.

The adapter is compatible with following lamps:
