The Velbon DF-50 is a standard-size, heavy-duty tripod that's ideal for regular SLR cameras and video camcorders. The DF-50 is distinguished by such features as a three-way quick-release pan head for tilts and pans, a sure-grip handle that's positioned on the left side for easy access to the main camera controls, a dual-position quick-release platform, and a geared center platform for quick height adjustments. The three- section leg assemblies, meanwhile, are outfitted with such essentials as sturdy flip-lever locks, rubber-tipped feet, and steel ground spikes, all of which make the DF-50 remarkably stable even on rough terrain. Other details include an adjustment range of 55 to 152 cm, a folded length of 58 cm, and the ability to support up to 3 kg of camera equipment.
