A basic kit for a low-budget photo studio. Also suitable for home photography. Useful for product photo, especially for internet purposes.

It takes just a moment to assemble the kit. It also does not need much space to be stored - it can be put into a wadrobe, on a wardrobe, under a bed.

The powerful 105W (500W tungsten bulb equivalent!) fluorescent bulbs applied!

Continuous lighting has many advantages:

• the object is illuminated all the time - the lighting can be precisely operated
• does not need to be synchronized with the camera
• no sync cords everywhere

• a 290cm max height light stand
• 4 85W 5500 K fluorescent bulbs (eq. 4x400W tungsten!)

The light is provided by the 5500 K fluorescent bulbs, also sold separately.

Professional but inexpensive fluorescent lighting unit. Maximum power of the bulbs is 105W.

The power is divided for two A&B sections. Each section consists of 2 bulbs and a power switch.

A firm socket allows to attach the lamp to a light stand.

The best solution to diffuse the light with minimal loss. The diffuser and the silver reflecting surface (see photo) spread the light uniquely evenly. All the light is reflected in one direction which protects the color balance from the environment's influence. A softbox is a means of obtaining even and diffused light. Such lighting is used in portrait photography (i.e. passport photos) but also in advertising photography, where the even lighting is of a paramount importance. Diffused light highly reduces blown-out highlights and reflections on shiny or transparent surfaces. diameter: 90 cm compact dimensions: 62x23x6 cm (in the case)

To ensure the color balance and saturation is correct, proper light units should be used. The photographed subjects have their natural, unadulterated colors then. The "Ra" color fidelity indicator maximum value is 100. It indicates the lighting's capability of presenting the subjects' true colors.

In product photo, it is recommended to use lighting with "Ra" 80 or above. The color temperature should be at least 5000°K. As visible in the diagram below, such lighting is the most appropriate. It should also be remembered that camera settings and surrounding colors also have influence on the pictures' tone.
