YN-560 Camera Flash
Sony/Minolta

Guide number 58 for ISO100
Designed for fast and convenient manual setting. The Yongnuo YN-560 camera flash allows to take photos in extreme light conditions, even from a big distance. Additionally, it supports the autofocus when the lighting is poor. Perfect as a slave light unit. The flash head bounces and swivels which improves the creativity by reflecting the light from surfaces. It also has the zoom, an in-built photocell, an expandable diffuser and reflector, a metal shoe, a PC socket and an external power source slot to attach a battery pack.

The YN560 camera flash has been designed for photographers who appreciate quality, good look and using comfort. New functions improve the device's versatility. The zoom can change the light's focus from 24 to 105mm. High guide number (GN58 for ISO100, 105mm) is comparable with brand camera flashes.
The YN-560 has an in-built photocell so in the S1 mode it is triggered with other flash, even the pop-up one. In the S2 mode it can be triggered by pop-up lamps that emit the preflashes because it does not react to them.
A sound that informs about loading and readiness can be turned on or off.
A battery back can be attached to a special socket so the flash can recycle faster.
a PC socket enables the flash to synchronize with the camera using a sync cord.
While working with ordinary rechargeable or disposable batteries, the flash needs 3 seconds to fully recycle. Even when the batteries are exhausted it does not take longer then 5 seconds. The lamp has also a slot to attach a CP-E3 or CP-E4 type battery pack. Using a battery pack makes the flash fully recycle about 30% faster and, which is more important, it replicates much more effectively in a series mode. Without a battery pack the flashes limit in the series mode is 5, but when we use it, the limit rises to 18.
Compared to the previous models, the power saving function has been modified. This makes the camera flash turn off faster when it is not used. The power control can be gradually reduced up to 1/128. Each of the power levels can be also adjusted within the next 8. The YN-560 can also remember the user's settings.
